Apple Launches First Online Store in Saudi Arabia, Marking Major Regional Expansion

Apple Launches

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Apple has officially launched its online retail store in Saudi Arabia, allowing customers in the Kingdom to purchase products directly from the tech giant for the first time. The move, announced Tuesday, represents a major milestone in Apple’s regional strategy and signals deeper engagement with the Middle Eastern market.

The newly launched online store offers the full range of Apple products—including iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, Apple Watches, and accessories—along with direct support services. Until now, Saudi consumers could only purchase Apple products through authorized third-party resellers, often with limited access to customization options and customer care.

Localized Shopping Experience with Arabic Support

As part of its debut, Apple is providing Arabic-language support, including localized customer service and the option for Arabic engraving on eligible products. The Apple Store app has also been made available to users in Saudi Arabia, offering a mobile shopping experience consistent with Apple’s global standards.

This localization effort is designed to create a more personalized and seamless experience for Saudi consumers, and positions Apple to better compete in one of the Middle East’s fastest-growing digital economies.

A Brick-and-Mortar Store to Follow in 2026

In a forward-looking move, Apple also confirmed plans to open its first physical Apple Store in Saudi Arabia by 2026, expanding its footprint beyond the digital realm. This will mark the company’s inaugural flagship retail presence in the Kingdom and reflect Apple’s growing investment in the region.

A Strategic Move Amid Saudi Arabia’s Tech Boom

Apple’s expansion into Saudi Arabia aligns with a broader trend of global tech companies entering or scaling up in the Kingdom. Driven by the Vision 2030 initiative, Saudi Arabia is rapidly transforming into a regional innovation hub through massive investment in infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and digital services.

Earlier this year, the country unveiled Humain, a new AI company launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and funded by the Public Investment Fund (PIF). On the same day, leading U.S. tech firms—including Amazon, Google, Nvidia, and AMD—announced multi-billion-dollar partnerships with Saudi entities, underscoring the country’s ambitions to become a global tech powerhouse.

While these developments have raised concerns among international rights groups over ethical implications, they have not slowed the pace of commercial engagement by major technology players.

Direct Access to Apple’s Ecosystem

The launch of Apple’s online store gives Saudi consumers unprecedented access to the company’s complete ecosystem. For the first time, users can benefit from Apple’s official packaging, warranty services, personalization options, and streamlined customer care—enhancing both the shopping experience and post-purchase support.

Though the App Store has long been available in the Kingdom, the ability to purchase hardware directly from Apple marks a turning point. The new platform is expected to eliminate many of the inconsistencies previously faced when buying through resellers.

Looking Ahead

Apple’s online store launch and upcoming physical retail presence underscore the company’s commitment to one of the Middle East’s largest and most digitally engaged markets. With growing consumer demand, a young tech-savvy population, and government support for innovation, Saudi Arabia presents significant growth potential for Apple’s future in the region.
