Dubai: DMCC has unveiled DMCC Cyber, a new cybersecurity-focused business platform, as the number of technology companies operating within its business district has exceeded 4,000, making technology its largest and fastest-growing sector.
The new initiative is designed to support more than 200 cybersecurity firms specializing in cyber resilience, digital trust, data protection, identity management, and governance, risk and compliance (GRC).
DMCC Cyber has been introduced alongside the official launch of DMCC Tech, a unified technology ecosystem that brings together the district’s specialized innovation centres and technology communities under one umbrella.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, said the rapid expansion of the technology sector reflects Dubai’s growing status as a global destination for innovation and high-growth businesses. He noted that as the ecosystem has evolved, the demand for dedicated platforms serving specialized technology sectors has increased. According to him, DMCC Tech will integrate these communities into a single ecosystem, while DMCC Cyber addresses the rising importance of cybersecurity in an increasingly digital economy.
Expanding technology ecosystem
DMCC Cyber joins the DMCC AI Centre, DMCC Crypto Centre, and DMCC Gaming Centre as part of the newly established DMCC Tech platform, with DMCC Quantum expected to launch in the future.
The platform provides technology companies with access to DMCC’s broader business network, which includes more than 26,000 member companies spanning global trade, finance, commodities, and emerging technologies.
DMCC said its technology ecosystem already hosts major international firms such as CrowdStrike, PwC, CYFIRMA, and FPT Software, highlighting the growing scale and global reach of its technology community.
Space economy gains momentum
Beyond artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, blockchain, and gaming, DMCC Tech is also expanding its focus to the rapidly evolving space economy.
The organization said advancements in satellite technology, Earth observation, and space-generated data are increasingly transforming industries including trade, finance, logistics, and resource management, creating new opportunities for innovation across multiple sectors.
