This breakthrough, called Agent Pay, was introduced by Mastercard in collaboration with Majid Al Futtaim at the Dubai Future Forum. The system allowed cinema tickets to be booked entirely through a conversational AI assistant, eliminating the need for browsing websites, filling forms, or entering card details. Every step—from discovering the movie to confirming the seats—was completed through natural dialogue with the AI.
UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, Omar Al Olama, attended the live showcase alongside Mastercard CEO Michael Miebach.
