CAIRO – April 22, 2025 — Egyptian semiconductor startup InfiniLink has raised $10 million in a landmark seed funding round, signaling a major step forward for the region’s deep-tech sector and Egypt’s ambitions in the global chip race.
Amr El-Geziry and Salma Nour, two seasoned businesspeople, founded InfiniLink in 2023 with the goal of revolutionizing data centers, Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure, and telecommunications by developing next-generation, energy-efficient semiconductor technologies. Ultra-low-latency connectivity chips, which increase data transmission speeds while drastically reducing energy consumption, are the company’s main innovation.
The seed round, among the largest for a deep-tech startup in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), was led by Silicon Badia, with backing from Global Ventures, Sawari Ventures, and several high-profile angel investors with deep roots in the semiconductor and technology sectors.
“Our mission is to bridge the global technology divide and position Egypt at the forefront of semiconductor innovation,” said CEO Amr El-Geziry. “This funding will help us grow our engineering team, debut our first products, and build strategic alliances with leading tech players around the world.”
InfiniLink’s bold vision and technical prowess were key draws for investors. With the global semiconductor market under intense pressure to deliver faster and more sustainable solutions, InfiniLink is positioning itself as a competitive contender.
“InfiniLink is tackling one of the most critical challenges in modern computing: enabling faster, greener connectivity,” said Nameer Khan, General Partner at Silicon Badia. “They’ve assembled a world-class team with the potential to redefine the industry and put the Middle East on the deep-tech map.”
The Cairo-based startup plans to use the fresh capital to scale its R&D operations, open offices in Europe and the United States, and launch pilot programs with major telecom and cloud service providers by early 2026.
Additionally, investors’ increasing interest in hardware innovation in emerging countries is reflected in this sizeable fundraising round. InfiniLink stands out as a predictor of a new wave of deep-tech entrepreneurship in the region as Egypt portrays itself as a future center for cutting-edge technology.
