Khalifa University of Science and Technology has entered into a strategic technology partnership with Gazprom Neft by joining the educational ecosystem of the League of Universities of Gazprom Neft. The league brings together leading academic institutions from Russia, India, and China, creating a global platform for collaboration in energy-focused education, research, and innovation.
The partnership aims to promote the exchange of expertise in industrial innovation, academic program development, and scientific research within the energy sector. It also opens the door for joint research initiatives and the active involvement of Gazprom Neft specialists in curriculum development and guest lectures. Core areas of collaboration will include artificial intelligence, data analytics, geology, and green technologies.
As part of the agreement, Khalifa University students will gain access to business programs, hackathons, and case-study competitions organized under the Energytechnohub Petersburg (Energy Hub), an entrepreneurial ecosystem supported by Gazprom Neft. These initiatives will allow students to gain hands-on experience by working on projects that address advanced technological challenges. Faculty members from Khalifa University will also contribute to the creation of an international education program designed to support the development and launch of high-tech startups in the Middle East.

In parallel, Gazprom Neft is contributing to the development of an international remote-employment platform for BRICS countries under an initiative supported by the President of the Russian Federation. By 2027, the initiative is expected to help Russian companies access highly qualified professionals from partner countries while supporting the international advancement of Russian technologies.
