ASUS has opened pre-orders for the special-edition ROG Xbox Ally X20 in the UK, with US pre-orders scheduled to begin on September 24. The new gaming handheld will be offered as a standalone device or as part of a premium bundle featuring the XREAL R1 gaming glasses.
The ROG Xbox Ally X20 was first revealed by ASUS at Computex in June, where the company showcased the handheld alongside the XREAL R1 glasses. While the two products were initially presented together, buyers will be able to purchase the Ally X20 separately.
The standalone ROG Xbox Ally X20 is priced at $1,299.99 in the US, making it $300 more expensive than the original Xbox Ally X launched in October 2025. The bundle, which includes the XREAL R1 glasses, costs $2,499.99.
In the UK, ASUS has listed the standalone handheld at £1,299.99, while the bundle is priced at £2,299.99.

US pre-orders for the ROG Xbox Ally X20 are scheduled to begin on September 24 through the official ASUS store. Best Buy has already listed the standalone model for purchase, while the XREAL R1 bundle remains marked as “Coming Soon.”
The availability schedule may vary depending on the retailer and US time zone, so buyers planning to order the handheld at launch should check the ASUS and Best Buy listings around the announced release time.
The X20 is positioned as a higher-end addition to ASUS’ ROG Xbox Ally lineup, combining a new OLED display and updated controls with a distinctive translucent design. The optional XREAL R1 bundle also gives buyers the choice of pairing the handheld with dedicated gaming glasses.
