Zoom has introduced its new live voice translation feature, expanding its artificial intelligence capabilities to help users communicate across multiple languages during virtual meetings. Arabic language support is expected to arrive in the fourth quarter of 2026, the company confirmed.
The feature is initially available in English, Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish. Zoom also plans to add German, Italian, Portuguese, and Arabic in the next phase of the rollout later this year.
First unveiled at Zoomtopia in September before a limited launch in April, the service enables participants to speak in their native language while others hear the conversation translated in real time. It also includes voice cloning technology that preserves the speaker’s natural vocal characteristics and translation projection, allowing conversations to flow more naturally without relying solely on subtitles.
Zoom said the technology was designed to reduce distractions during meetings by eliminating the need to constantly read translated captions.
Access to the feature requires a Pro, Business, or Enterprise subscription, the ZoomMate AI add-on, or a standalone voice translation package. The company has also published setup instructions for eligible users.
The latest launch comes as competition intensifies among video conferencing platforms, with companies increasingly integrating AI-powered tools to improve collaboration and user experience.
Zoom, which gained global prominence during the COVID-19 pandemic, now serves about 300 million daily active users and holds more than 55% of the global video conferencing market. The company generated more than $4.6 billion in revenue in 2025, while annual meeting usage exceeded 3.3 trillion minutes, according to industry data.
Addressing privacy concerns, Zoom said the live voice translation service processes audio in real time without storing meeting recordings or creating permanent voice profiles, adding that all translation data is discarded once the meeting ends.
