Nepal Telecom has brought its mobile data services back online after a short disruption on Tuesday, December 2. The outage began around 5:00 PM, when users across the country noticed their mobile data suddenly stopped working. Many reported that their devices were not showing data or network indicators, even after switching mobile data settings on and off.
Despite the interruption in data services, most customers were still able to make voice calls, send SMS, and use VoLTE without major problems. However, a small number of users did experience occasional call issues during the downtime. By the time of writing, mobile data connectivity has been fully restored, and users are once again seeing 4G signals on their screens.
Nepal Telecom has not yet released an official explanation for the outage, but the issue appeared to be resolved within a couple of hours. The company has recently updated its call centre numbers, making it easier for customers to reach support during service disruptions.
For anyone still facing connectivity problems, simple troubleshooting steps such as restarting the device, toggling airplane mode, or waiting briefly for the network to reconnect may help. Resetting network settings is usually not required unless other methods fail.
